Young Adult Ministry empowers and resources parishes and ministries throughout the Archdiocese of New Orleans in their efforts to share the Gospel message of Jesus Christ, build community, and nurture the faith lives of men and women between the ages of 18 - 39.
Like so many other things we may have become desensitized to in 2020, the word 'unprecedented' may have lost some of its significance or become associated with the stressors and negative experiences of 2020.
Yet, as we celebrate Christmas this year, we remember another 'unprecedented event': God entering this world as a baby & becoming Emmanuel, 'God with us.' His birth began the path that lead to his death for our sins, but it was the light in the darkness, the beginning of the hope that we can hold as Catholic Christians. While your gatherings and traditions will look a little different this year, we hope and pray that what remains the same is the joy that comes from celebrating Christmas and the hope that there are brighter days ahead in Jesus Christ entering our world again.
May God bless you and your families this Christmas season and may 2021 truly bring a healthier, happier New Year.
While the CYO/Youth & Young Adult Ministry Office is working on ways to minister and develop a ministry with youth and young adults during this pandemic and beyond, we want to grow in making you aware of what your parishes and organizations are doing to minister with young adults.
Do you have an event that you would like to reach young adult Catholics (ages 18-39)?
