Summer Skills Workshops

Every summer, the Office of Religious Education hosts a series of workshops and seminars to assist new or aspiring Parish and School Catechetical Leaders on developing the tools and skills they need to be effective leaders of catechetical ministry in their parishes and schools.

Monday, June 1 - Tuesday, June 2
Summer Institute for Catholic Educational Leadship

The PCL/SCL Skills 1 & 2 Workshop are a part of the Effective DRE Series.

Part I covers:
1) Understanding Catechesis
2) Communicating Effectively
3) Forming Ministerial Relationships
4) Building Community

Part II covers:
1) Developing Parish/School Programs
2) Recruiting & Training Catechists
3) Keeping Records & Budgets
4) Maintaining Professional Balance

This summer we will offer these workshops at our office in New Orleans only. (Still TBD)
The cost is $40.00 per workshop payable by cash or check to the Office of Religious Education.
This cost will cover the course material, but does not include lunch.
