As the City of New Orleans prepares to celebrate its Tricentennial, the local Catholic Church is celebrating 300 years of faith in the Crescent City. As Bienville established the city in 1718, he designated the place where the church would be built, and today, the Catholic Church still stands as the only entity to be part of the society and culture in New Orleans for three centuries.
