The year was 1968. The place was Notre Dame Seminary where five seminarians brought together the sacred and the secular with Catholic folk-style music for liturgy. They called themselves The Dameans.
Fifty years have gone by but their music, and the memories it rekindles, is still alive as ever. On June 3, The Dameans will come together for their 50th Reunion Concert at the Ursuline Academy Auditorium. Tickets are $30 and all proceeds will benefit the Archdiocese of New Orleans Retreat Center.
