Obligation to Attend Mass Dispensed

Please remember that for the faithful of the Archdiocese of New Orleans the obligation to attend Mass has been dispensed. Masses will take place as scheduled but if you are concerned for the health and well-being of yourself, your family, or others, you are not obligated to attend. Please remember that Mass will be broadcast live at 11 am on WLAE-TV and live streamed at https://thedailymass.com. Mass is recorded and archived there as well, so if you cannot watch at 11 am, you can watch later.

If you are not going to attend Mass, please consider watching Mass and making an Act of Spritual Communion:

My Jesus,
I believe that You
are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment
receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.
