New Orleans Archbishop Gregory M. Aymond and Catholic Schools Superintendent Dr. RaeNell Houston have announced that Dr. Cissy LaForge will join St. Michael Special School as Head of School for the 2020-2021 school year. Dr. LaForge will officially assume the role on July 1, 2020.
Dr. LaForge joins the administration at St. Michael’s with extensive experience in educational leadership in Catholic schools. Dr. Laforge earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Educational Leadership from the University of New Orleans. She most recently served as President/Principal at St. Scholastica Academy in Covington, LA. Prior to her tenure at St. Scholastica, Dr. LaForge supported educators in the community through her work with the School Leadership Center of Greater New Orleans. Dr. LaForge also served as Principal at Stuart Hall School for Boys.
