A Statement from the Archdiocese of New Orleans on the 5th Anniversary of Chapter 11 Filing

Archbishop Aymond has spent countless hours throughout his ministry meeting with survivors of abuse over the years. He remains committed to listening to survivors who want to share their stories with him.

The Archdiocese of New Orleans agrees with those that spoke in court today that dismissal is not in the best interest of all survivors. We commit to continue to work under court supervision to bring this case to a resolution that is beneficial to all and provides for the continued safety of minors.
