All parish clergy, religious and laity responsible for communicating the good work of parish life are invited to join us for the 2nd annual Parish Communicators Workshop! This workshop teaches how to effectively communicate as the parish through new media communications. Communication of the faith is not just the task of those who preach, teach or serve as Catholic media professionals. Rooted in God's own gift of self to us and enabled by the Holy Spirit, communication of the faith is an integral part of Christian identity.
The day will begin with a welcome and prayer service with Archbishop Gregory Aymond and will feature a keynote address titled, The Mission is ME! Presented by Very Rev. David Caron, O.P., Vicar for Evangelization for the Archdiocese of New Orleans. This year we are offering breakout sessions for those seeking to develop specific skills for parish communications including:
Basic Writing for Church Communications
Social Media Start-up and Management
Website Content Management
Stewardship Communications
All participants will have the opportunity to meet representatives of eCatholic! Learn more about the archdiocesan-wide website initiative by clicking here.
Continental breakfast, lunch and snacks will be served. There is no cost to attend but registration is requested.
