Getting ready for this weekend in NOLA, here's your listing of NOLACatholic events happening around the Archdiocese of New Orleans:

Retreats for Young Women is hosting its retreat starting tonight November 15 through November 17 at the New Orleans Archdiocese Retreat Center. RFYW are specifically designed to help young women encounter God's presence and love through modalities including: silence, Scripture, nature, music, art, reflection, poetry, prayer, journaling and group interaction. The theme for November's retreat is:  I Know the Plans I Have For You.

The inaugural Archdiocesan Musicians Convocation is Saturday morning. All instrumentalists, cantors, choir members, and music directors of the archdiocese are invited to attend the Archdiocese of New Orleans Musicians Convocation. This morning of formation and music will include a presentation for Fr. James Chepponnis and a welcome from Archbishop Aymond. Everyone is invited to the Annual Mass honoring Venerable Henriette Delille on Saturday, November 16, 2019, 4:00 PM.  Rev. Father Howard Byrd, SSJ will be the celebrant and homilist. Mass will be celebrated at the Sisters of the Holy Family Motherhouse, 6901 Chef Menteur Blvd. There will be a reception immediately following the Mass.

Sunday is World Day fo the Poor, a day set aside by Pope Francis to pray for and to act for the poor and vulnerable among us. Let us pray or those who suffer from the various types of poverty, and for our willingness to seek ways to bring hope to the poor, and to alleviate their suffering.
