The following is a listing of parish, school and ministry relief efforts of the Archdiocese of New Orleans to assist those impacted by Hurricane Harvey:

Archbishop Aymond will be collecting funds to aid in the Hurricane Harvey response and recovery. Those funds will be forwarded directly to the Catholic bishops of the affected areas. Those wishing to contribute should send their checks to:

Second Harvest Food Bank is collecting monetary donations as well as non-perishable food items, especially “pop-top” canned goods that do not require can-openers, water, MREs that are still in-date, cleaning supplies such as bleach, gloves, and garbage bags, and other disaster-specific items. Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans is referring donors to the Catholic Charities USA site for coordinated relief and recovery efforts. Go to https://app.mobilecause.com/vf/CCUSADISASTER for more information about how to make a gift and updates on the recovery efforts.
Catholic Charities USA has also initiated a "text-to-date" program to benefit Hurrican Harvey victims. Text CCUSADISASTER to 71777 to make a donation. Funds raised go to Catholic Charities agencies that are helping families and individuals with shelter, food, and immediate and long-term recovery needs. CCUSA is the official domestic relief agency of the Catholic Church.
St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church will be helping the people affected by Hurricane Harvey in Texas. To assist in loading the 18 wheeler, please ONLY send items in BULK / PRE-PACKAGED items (Consider buying in bulk from Sam’s, Costco, Walmart, etc.). We are collecting the following items:
- Cases of Bottled Water, Powerade, Gatorade
- Baby Items (Diapers, Wipes, Powder, etc.)
- Non-perishable Dry goods and canned goods
- Bleach, Lysol, Clorox Wipes, etc.
- Mops, Brooms, Buckets, etc.
- Contractor Bags, gloves, surgical masks, etc.
- Soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, razors, floss, feminine products, deodorant, etc.
- Paper Towels, Kleenex, Toilet paper, etc.
- Dog and Cat food
- Flash lights and batteries
- New Pillows, sheets, towels, and air mattresses
- Tarps
- Duct tape
- Plastic storage bins
- Folding chairs
- Boxes and Packing tape
The parish is NOT ACCEPTING clothes, books, or toys. Please drop off these items off to the Church between 8:30 am and 6:00 pm on the following days:

Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church will be accepting items for flood relief to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey in the Houston area. Please bring any of the items below to the Parish Center between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 7 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. as of August 28:
If you would like to donate gift cards, please bring to the parish office or put in the collection basket.
St. Gertrude the Great Catholic Church will be sponsoring a collection of baby supplies, nonperishable food items, cleaning supplies, bottled water and new clothing to be brought to Texas. You may drop off items at the Fr. Mac Community Center Monday through Friday 10AM to Noon and 5PM to 7PM for the next two weeks. Tuesday, August 29th through Friday, September 8th. St. Andrew the Apostle and Westwego Volunteer Fire Company lend a helping hand as we support our neighboring flood victims. Beginning immediately, we are accepting gift cards from major department stores (Home Depot, Walmart, Target, etc.) so that the good people in Houston can purchase what they need for survival. New packages of underwear, shirts & socks, blankets and pillows, towels and soap, toiletries, toilet paper, feminine hygiene products, cleaning supplies and gloves, plastic bins and large contractor trash bags, non-perishable food. No used clothing please. First bus load will be leaving on Friday morning from SSA Chapel.
St. Pius X, New Orleans - Beginning tomorrow through September 6th, SPX will be accepting donations for Hurricane Harvey disaster relief.

St. Agnes Church - Dr. Louise LaBruyere and the Jefferson Chorale will host a benefit concert entitled “”After the Storm” on Sunday, September 24th at 4:30pm at St. Agnes Church, 3310 Jefferson Highway, Jefferson, LA 70121. All proceeds will go towards the victims of Hurricane Harvey.
