Corporal works of mercy:

• 'Packages of Mercy' aid the re-entry program by providing care packages to those who have just been released from prison and have no family. The care packages should include things like men's toiletries, razors, towels, new undergarments, and other basic items, plus a note of encouragement. • Messages of Mercy-Become a pen pal with a prisoner. Email [email protected] to sign up.
• Monthly Respect Life Gathering: This month's Respect Life Gathering with a focus on the death penalty will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017, at 7:00 PM at the Seelos Center of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 919 Josephine St. in New Orleans. Fr. Allan Weinert, parochial vicar of St. Alphonsus, will present “Respect Life: Addressing the Death Penal-ty.” Come join us, pray together and learn more about the issues!
