The Catholic community across the United States is coming together to celebrate a decade of generosity with the launch of the tenth annual #iGiveCatholic campaign, the U.S. Catholic Church’s National Giving Day on GivingTuesday. Today marks the start of the campaign’s advanced giving phase, inviting faithful stewards to “Give Back and Give Catholic”in support of thousands of Catholic organizations nationwide. Donations can be made today through December 2, with GivingTuesday falling on December 3 this year.
#iGiveCatholic, a leading national crowdfunding movement, has grown rapidly since its inception, engaging a wide array of Catholic dioceses, schools, ministries, and nonprofits. This year, over 50 U.S. dioceses are joining forces, amplifying the impact of Catholic giving. In 2023 alone, the campaign raised over $20 million from 58,822 donors across all 50 states and 22 countries, demonstrating the breadth of support for Catholic ministries.
#iGiveCatholic LIVE: A New Live Stream Celebrating Catholic Connection
New for 2024, #iGiveCatholic will broadcast a live stream atwww.igivecatholic.org on December 3 with morning, afternoon and evening segments featuring live interviews, videos, and dynamic commentary highlighting a diverse selection of ministries, diocesan hosts, and #iGiveCatholic organizational leaders.
New Participating Dioceses: Building Momentum Across the Country and Beyond
#iGiveCatholic is thrilled to welcome participants from several new dioceses, including the Archdiocese of Miami, and the Dioceses of Crookston, Kalamazoo, San Bernardino, and Toledo. Additionally, five dioceses from Puerto Rico—Archdiocese of San Juan and the Dioceses of Arecibo, Fajardo-Humacao, Mayaguez, and Ponce—will join, reflecting the campaign’s commitment to supporting Catholic communities across diverse regions. How to Participate: Finding and Funding Your Favorite Cause
Anyone can support the #iGiveCatholic campaign by visitingwww.igivecatholic.org, where users can search for participating organizations by name, diocese, or cause (such as “campus ministry,” “homelessness and housing,” or “pro-life”) to find organizations aligned with their values and interests. Online donations will be accepted 24/7 from 12:01 a.m. on November 18 through 11:59 p.m. on December 3. Supporters can also contribute offline by sending cash or check donations directly to participating organizations for inclusion in their campaign results.
