The Catholic Church, through Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans and Second Harvest Food Bank, is currently in the field providing counseling and case management services to those affected by yesterday’s storm. Our prayers are with those affected as many families have lost everything as a result. May those affected feel God’s loving compassion through our aid and prayers.
Blessed Trinity Catholic Church & Hotel Hope are going to prepare meals for the victims of the tornado on Saturday, February 11th. We will be meeting at the Rosa F. Keller Library Community Center kitchen to cook and put together to go plates. Then we will take the meals to the East and provide those working on their homes and those in shelters with a hot meal.
The Menu:
Pork Loin
Red Beans & Rice
Mixed Veggies
Corn Bread
Water
If you would like to volunteer or make a donation please email Fr. Daniel Green ([email protected]). We need about 10 people to help cook and make plates and we will also be accepting donations to assist with buying the food and supplies.
We will update this list as information becomes available, please check back regularly to any of the sites listed.
