" Poverty in the world is a scandal. In a world where there is so much wealth, so many resources to feed everyone, it is unfathomable that there are so many hungry children, that there are so many children without an education, so many poor persons. Poverty today is a cry.” - Pope Francis
St. Martha Parish in Harvey invites you to "Feeding Hungry Hearts", a Lenten night of reflection on Saturday, March 25th following the 5:30 p.m.Mass in the St. Martha Parish Hall (2555 Apollo Ave in Harvey, LA 70058). Guest speaker Sr. Judy Gomila, MSC will share her reflections on her work with the poor and hungry communities and call us to reflect on our own poverty and hungering in our hearts for Christ. The evening will be a great way to pause and discover how God is working in our lives to "feed" us in these final weeks of Lent. A simple Lenten meal with refreshments will be served.
