A Statement from the Archdiocese of New Orleans

It was recently brought to our attention that Richard McCormick, a Salesian priest who had a very short tenure in the early 1990s in the Archdiocese of New Orleans had been charged and convicted in a criminal case related to clergy abuse. Upon confirming this information he was added to our list under the section identifying clergy that had pastoral assignments in the archdiocese but no allegations of abuse in the Archdiocese of New Orleans.
