The Basics:
Employees must work at least 20 hours each week on a regular basis to be eligible for benefits. Coverage for new employees is effective the first day of the month following the hire date. Open enrollment is June 3rd through June 14th, and the effective date of changes made during open enrollment is July 1, 2024.
ALL eligible staff MUST Call the BAC or go Online to Verify current Elections or Waive Coverages, even if making no changes.
Health:
We'll maintain our existing plan options unchanged, operating within UMR | United Healthcare's National network. Despite an 8.54% rise in our health plan premiums, the Archdiocese has effectively managed costs compared to market standards in recent years.
We will subsidize $734.98 monthly, leaving only $132.50 for employees opting for "Plan 1 | HMO-90" with individual coverage. "Plan 2 | HMO-80" is available again for $81.50/month for individual coverage.
Please note that all employees contribute to the premium cost. Those covering dependents or opting for the higher-cost Point of Service (POS) plan will have the employer's portion deducted from their expenses. They will be responsible for the difference between the employer's contribution and the cost of dependent or POS coverage on all plans.
ID cards - For the new plan year, ALL health, dental and vision, only new enrollees will get new ID cards.
Please REMIND your Staff that they should UPDATE BENEFICIARIES each year for their Retirement and Life Insurance.
